July 20, 2010--As of July 20, 2010, 15 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications had been reported and confirmed by Taiwan CDC. Among these 15 confirmed cases, 13 had been discharged, 1 was in general hospital ward and 1 was in ICU. Those confirmed cases were all under 10 years old (see Table 1(pdf file)). Eight cases were from the northern part of Taiwan, two were from the central and five were from the southern. (see Fig. 1(pdf file))

One case was confirmed in Week 28 (July 14 to July 20). He is 2-year-old boy from Taoyuan County. His infection was caused by EV71 and he is still in general hospital ward. (see Fig. 2(pdf file))
