The purpose of publishing this revised version of “Manual of Standard Operation Procedure of Communicable Diseases” is to provide a reference of treating communicable diseases for laboratories of medical care institutions. The book is divided according to categories cited in Communicable Disease Control Act. Communicable diseases in this Act are classified into Categories 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. For the purpose of easy understanding, it unifies all the proper nouns and unit symbols. Furthermore, it also adds Chinese and English indices so that users can refer this book much easier.
