26 more imported cases of Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 detected at border


On June 15, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 26 new imported cases of the Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 that were detected and intercepted at the border. These cases arrived in Taiwan between May 30 and June 5, 2022. Among the cases of BA.4, two each were from the US and Thailand, and one each from Australia and the UK. Of the cases of BA.5, six were from Germany, four each from the US and Spain, three from Singapore, and one each from Australia, Korea and El Salvador.
