Effective from April 22, rules on three COVID-19 doses to be tightened


On April 15, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the third COVID-19 dose requirement will be strengthened for the following groups of people in venues listed below beginning April 22, 2022.

Tightened rules are listed below and will apply to the following groups:
A. People in the first, second, third and seventh vaccination priority groups under the government-funded COVID-19 vaccination program and individuals working in correctional institutions, funeral homes, and in 24 types of venues/workplace under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare;
B. People who frequently come into contact with nonspecific persons or cannot maintain social distancing, including those participating in religious events (processions and pilgrimages) and group tours (arranged by travel agencies; participants are nonspecific persons) as well as individuals going to the gym or eight types of adult entertainment venues (effective from April 1), and are old enough and eligible for COVID-19 vaccination (both staff and visitors). Such individuals are required to receive a COVID-19 booster shot (third dose).
