On November 5, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 25,567 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 25,567 new cases, 25,523 are domestic and 44 are imported. The CECC announced 67 deaths today.

Regarding the 25,523 new domestic cases, 11,760 are male and 13,752 are female, while the gender of the other 11 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 4,176 were reported in New Taipei City, 3,478 in Kaohsiung City, 3,470 in Taichung City, 2,574 in Taoyuan City, 2,433 in Tainan City, 2,273 in Taipei City, 1,207 in Changhua County, 911 in Pingtung County, 632 in Hsinchu County, 600 in Yunlin County, 598 in Hsinchu City, 528 in Chiayi County, 504 in Miaoli County, 496 in Nantou County, 353 in Chiayi City, 331 in Yilan County, 302 in Keelung City, 291 in Hualien County, 192 in Taitung County, 97 in Kinmen County, 65 in Penghu County, and 14 in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 67 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 37 men and 30 women ranging in age from 50 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 44 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 5 and November 3, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 19,529,422 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,663,494. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 7,863,193 cases. Of the 7,863,193 confirmed cases, 36,613 are imported; 7,826,526 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 13,151 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 13,151 deaths, 13,134 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
