CECC confirms 78 more cases of Omicron subvariants, including 45 domestic cases and 33 imported cases


On March 2, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 78 new confirmed cases of Omicron subvariants. Of these new cases, 45 are domestic (30 cases of BA.2.75, 7 cases of BA.5, 6 cases of BQ.1, and two cases of XBB) and the other 33 cases (12 cases of BA.2.75, 11 cases of XBB, 4 cases of BA.5, 4 cases of BQ.1, and two cases of BF.7) are imported. As of now, for imported cases, there have been a cumulative total of 1,587 cases of BA.5, 1,035 cases of BA.2, 208 cases of BA.2.75, 161 cases of BF.7, 104 cases of BA.4, 60 cases of BQ.1, and 55 cases of XBB. Furthermore, for domestic cases, there have been a cumulative total of 1,636 cases of BA.5, 2,540 cases of BA.2, 195 cases of BA.2.75, 55 cases of BQ.1, 12 cases of BF.7, 7 cases of XBB, and five cases of BA.4.
