CECC confirms 1 more imported COVID-19 case


On May 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed imported case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Case #437 is an over 30-year-old female. She visited the United States for study and didn’t show any symptoms when arriving in Taiwan. After the period of home isolation ended, she voluntarily notified health agencies that she had experienced a runny nose and stuffy nose during the home isolation period. Health agencies then arranged her medical care and COVID-19 testing. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on May 4. The case doesn’t have any symptoms and is currently hospitalized in isolation.
