CECC provides details on second distribution of COVID-19 vaccine doses provided by Japan


On June 15, the Central Epidemic Command Center announced that in order to increase the rate of COVID-19 vaccination among individuals in the priority groups, the second distribution of the vaccine doses will start on June 17; the vaccine doses will be distributed to cities and counties across Taiwan based on the percentage of the elderly population aged 75 and older in the respective city or county. 394,800 doses are expected to be distributed.

With the amount of the vaccine doses in the previous distribution, it is expected that the rate of vaccination among elderly people aged 75 and older in the country can reach at least 53%.
