On December 28, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that airline companies must reinforce control measures at overseas destinations and in-flight protection protocols, continue to manage flight operations, and implement relevant audit mechanisms. The CECC also stated that crew members on board long-haul flights or entering other countries must undergo home quarantine for 7 days after returning to Taiwan, and they are only allowed to enter the community after they undergo COVID-19 testing and test negative. Furthermore, they must observe the rules for enhanced self-health management from the 8th day to the 14th day after entry. The said measures will come into force on January 1, 2021.
