Cumulative total of 380 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 80 patients released from isolation


On April 9, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 1,636 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on April 8. As of writing, a cumulative total of 42,315 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 37,254. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 380 cases (Case #380 confirmed today). Of 380 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 326 are imported and 54 are indigenous. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 5 deaths, and 80 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder remains hospitalized in isolation.
