CECC confirms 46 more cases of BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants, including 2 domestic cases and 44 imported cases


On July 18, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 46 new confirmed cases of the Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5. Of the 46 cases, two are domestic and the other 44 are imported. There have been a cumulative total of 370 imported cases of the Omicron subvariants; of the 370 imported cases, 54 are cases of BA.4, and 316 are cases of BA.5. Furthermore, there have been a cumulative total of seven confirmed domestic cases of Omicron subvariants, and they all are BA.5 cases.
