CECC confirms 19,131 more COVID-19 cases, including 19,051 domestic cases and 80 imported cases


On July 11, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 19,131 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 19,131 new cases, 19,051 are domestic and 80 are imported. The CECC announced 96 deaths today.

Regarding the 19,051 new domestic cases, 9,028 are male and 10,012 are female, while the gender of the other 11 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years.

Of those domestic cases, 3,069 were reported in New Taipei City, 2,595 in Taichung City, 2,067 in Taoyuan City, 2,026 in Kaohsiung City, 1,743 in Taipei City, 1,409 in Tainan City, 1,088 in Changhua County, 650 in Pingtung County, 574 in Yunlin County, 533 in Hsinchu County, 458 in Miaoli County, 451 in Yilan County, 391 in Hsinchu City, 386 in Nantou County, 373 in Chiayi County, 353 in Hualien County, 227 in Keelung City, 205 in Taitung County, 197 in Chiayi City, 118 in Penghu County, 117 in Kinmen County, and 21 in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 96 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 59 men and 37 women ranging in age from 20 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 80 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between July 6 and 10, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 13,946,577 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 9,841,625. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 4,101,156 cases. Of the 4,101,156 confirmed cases, 15,763 are imported; 4,085,339 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 7,720 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 7,720 deaths, 7,705 are from domestic cases and the other 15 are from imported cases.
