On March 25, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced three new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Those three new cases arrived in Taiwan from the Philippines (Case #1011 and Case #1013) and the United States (Case #1012).

Case #1011 is an over 20-year-old male migrant worker from the Philippines. The Filipino migrant worker traveled to Taiwan for work on March 2. Before completing the quarantine period, he was tested for COVID-19 on March 15, and the test result came back negative. Due to work requirements, he visited the hospital to take a self-paid COVID-19 test on March 23. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on March 25.

Case #1012 is a Taiwanese man in his 20s. The Taiwanese man traveled to the United States for work on November 19, 2020. On November 22, he traveled back to Taiwan from the United States, transiting through Korea. He hasn't experienced any symptoms since arrival in Taiwan. As he planned to go abroad again, he went to the hospital to take a self-paid test on March 23. He tested positive. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on March 25 (The CT value was 36.). The man was given an RT-PCR test the next day, and he tested negative; he tested positive for both IgM and IgG antibodies. It is speculated that he has been infected for quite some time, and it is concluded that there is a higher chance that he contracted the virus during his stay in the US.

Case #1013 is an over 30-year-old female from the Philippines. The Filipina traveled to Taiwan for work on March 16. She began to experience a headache, cough, and sore throat on March 22. She was tested for COVID-19 at a group quarantine facility on March 24. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on March 25.

The CECC reported that a cumulative total of 186,010 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 184,212. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 1012 cases. Of the 1012 confirmed cases, 896 are imported; 77 are indigenous; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 2 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; and 1 case (Case #530) has been removed (Case #530 is not assigned to any patients). Of the confirmed cases, there have been 10 deaths, and 971 patients have been released from isolation, with the other 31 patients remaining hospitalized in isolation.
