COVID-19 government-funded vaccination appointment reservation system opens to people who wish to get their second dose of AZ or Medigen vaccine in tenth round of registration; members of public who have not registered their willingness to be vaccinated urged to register online as soon as possible


On September 28, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that online appointment for a second dose of the AstraZeneca (AZ) or Medigen vaccine will be open in the tenth round of registration on the COVID-19 vaccination registration and appointment reservation system (https://1922.gov.tw/) vaccines. Details are listed below.

A. Eligibility:
(1) Individuals aged 50-64 (born between January 1, 1957, and December 31, 1971, inclusive) who are on the 10th-week mark or longer after their first dose of the AZ vaccine before September 30 (inclusive) are eligible to make an appointment to get their second dose of the AZ vaccine.
(2). Individuals who are on the 4th-week mark or longer after their first dose of the Medigen vaccine before October 6 (inclusive) are eligible to make an appointment to get their second dose.
B. Registration: from today to 12 pm on September 29.
C. Scheduling appointments: from 10 a.m. on October 3 to 4 p.m. on October 4.
D. Vaccination: from October 6 to October 12.

The CECC explained that eligible people who have registered their willingness and have not canceled registration do not need to do that again; however, people who have not registered their willingness on the vaccination appointment system are urged to log into the system and register their willingness before 12 p.m. on September 29.

The CECC explained that vaccination with a second dose of the AZ vaccine for elderly people aged 65 and older who are on the 10th-week mark or longer after their first dose of the vaccine before September 30 (inclusive) will be provided according to the lists of eligible elderly people compiled by local health departments and that such eligible group should follow their local health department's instructions to receive their shot at a designated hospital or vaccination site.
