Cumulative total of 437 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 334 patients released from isolation


On May 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 342 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on May 3. As of writing, a cumulative total of 64,436 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 63,145. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 437 cases (Case #437 confirmed today). Of 437 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 347 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 35 are navy members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 334 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
