On January 11, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 25,643 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 25,643 new cases, 25,245 are domestic and 398 are imported. The CECC announced 46 deaths today.

Regarding the 25,245 new domestic cases, 11,576 are male and 13,652 are female, while the gender of the other 17 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 5,264 were reported in New Taipei City, 3,201 in Taichung City, 2,894 in Kaohsiung City, 2,771 in Taoyuan City, 2,759 in Taipei City, 1,990 in Tainan City, 980 in Changhua County, 842 in Hsinchu County, 721 in Hsinchu City, 633in Miaoli County, 576 in Pingtung County, 427 in Yunlin County, 396 in Chiayi County, 392 in Keelung City, 370 in Yilan County, 294 in Nantou County, 243 in Chiayi City, 218 in Hualien County, 122 in Taitung County, 79 in Kinmen County, 68 in Penghu County, and five in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 46 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 24 men and 22 women ranging in age from under five to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 398 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between December 11, 2022, and January 10, 2023.

The CECC reported that a total of 21,118,332 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,992,663. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 9,123,185 cases. Of the 9,123,185 confirmed cases, 43,903 are imported; 9,079,228 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 15,654 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 15,654 deaths, 15,635 are from domestic cases and the other 19 are from imported cases.
