On February 3, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that a large-scale cluster infection of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) with unknown sources of infection occurred in Vietnam recently, and the Vietnamese authorities indicated there would be a risk of second wave of infection in the country. In consideration of the status of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, the CECC has moved Vietnam to its list of medium-risk countries/regions from low-risk countries/regions. The latest list of the risk categories for countries/regions is as follows:
1. Low-risk countries/regions: New Zealand, Macao, Palau, Fiji, Brunei, Laos, Nauru, East Timor, Mauritius, the Marshall Islands, Cambodia.
2. Medium-risk countries/regions: Australia, Singapore, Vietnam.

The CECC also announced two new confirmed imported cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan, Case #917 and Case #918. As of now, a cumulative total of 160,437 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 155,366. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 917 cases. Of the 917 confirmed cases, 803 are imported; 75 are indigenous; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 2 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; and 1 case (Case #530) has been removed (Case #530 is not assigned to any patients). Of the confirmed cases, there have been 8 deaths, and 834 patients have been released from isolation, with the other 75 patients remaining hospitalized in isolation.
