Second batch of 803,000 doses of Moderna's next-generation bivalent COVID-19 vaccine to arrive in Taiwan on evening of September 18


On September 18, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that a second batch of Moderna's next-generation bivalent COVID-19 vaccine, containing 803,000 doses, purchased by the CECC will arrive at Taoyuan International Airport this evening. This shipment of vaccine doses is scheduled to be distributed to local governments starting October and will be given as booster doses to elderly people 65 years of age and older, residents of long-term care facilities, and people aged 18 and older who are immunocompromised and have low immune systems before being provided to other groups.
