CECC confirms 14,195 more COVID-19 cases, including 14,138 domestic cases and 57 imported cases


On November 25, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 14,195 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 14,195 new cases, 14,138 are domestic and 57 are imported. The CECC announced 56 deaths today.

Regarding the 14,138 new domestic cases, 6,307 are male and 7,820 are female, while the gender of the other 11 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 2,336 were reported in New Taipei City, 1,841 in Taichung City, 1,808 in Kaohsiung City, 1,531 in Taoyuan City, 1,270 in Tainan City, 1,240 in Taipei City, 796 in Changhua County, 441 in Pingtung County, 424 in Hsinchu County, 364 in Miaoli County, 339 in Hsinchu City, 334 in Yunlin County, 233 in Hualien County, 226 in Chiayi County, 224 in Nantou County, 210 in Yilan County, 190 in Keelung City, 161 in Chiayi City, 110 in Taitung County, 34 in Penghu County, 21 in Kinmen County, and five in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 56 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 31 men and 25 women ranging in age from 40 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 57 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 25 and November 23, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 20,008,510 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,764,600. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 8,241,178 cases. Of the 8,241,178 confirmed cases, 37,457 are imported; 8,203,667 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 14,181 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 14,181 deaths, 14,164 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
