On November 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 16,571 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 16,571 new cases, 16,514 are domestic and 57 are imported. The CECC announced 59 deaths today.

Regarding the 16,514 new domestic cases, 7,501 are male and 8,997 are female, while the gender of the other 16 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 2,679 were reported in New Taipei City, 2,219 in Taichung City, 2,184 in Kaohsiung City, 1,695 in Taoyuan City, 1,632 in Tainan City, 1,464 in Taipei City, 800 in Changhua County, 553 in Pingtung County, 491 in Hsinchu County, 423 in Yunlin County, 406 in Hsinchu City, 375 in Miaoli County, 296 in Chiayi County, 294 in Nantou County, 243 in Yilan County, 213 in Keelung City, 182 in Chiayi City, 174 in Hualien County, 108 in Taitung County, 47 in Kinmen County, 33 in Penghu County, and three in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 59 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 37 men and 22 women ranging in age from 50 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 57 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 19 and November 18, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 19,885,141 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,735,625. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 8,146,790 cases. Of the 8,146,790 confirmed cases, 37,218 are imported; 8,109,518 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 13,907 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 13,907 deaths, 13,890 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
