Cumulative total of 443 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 427 patients released from isolation


On June 1, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 237 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on May 31. As of writing, a cumulative total of 72,319 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 71,287. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 443 cases (Case #443 confirmed today). Of 443 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 352 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 7 deaths, and 427 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
