Diamond Princess listed as location affected by COVID-19; Taiwanese passengers to return home on charter plane and undergo quarantine

On February 18, 2020, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) indicated that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on the cruise liner Diamond Princess, which docked in Yokohama, is growing and four Taiwanese passengers on board the cruise ship have been diagnosed with COVID-19. In order to ensure the safety and right of return of the Taiwanese passengers, the CECC announced that the cruise ship has been regarded as a location with COVID-19 cases since February 18. If the Taiwanese passengers on board the cruise ship (including passengers and crew members) wish to return to Taiwan, such passengers are required to return on a charter flight arranged by the CECC and abide by relevant quarantine measures.
