On November 24, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 16,052 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 16,052 new cases, 16,015 are domestic and 37 are imported. The CECC announced 65 deaths today.

Regarding the 16,015 new domestic cases, 7,220 are male and 8,789 are female, while the gender of the other six cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 2,547 were reported in New Taipei City, 2,123 in Kaohsiung City, 2,088 in Taichung City, 1,710 in Taoyuan City, 1,443 in Tainan City, 1,411 in Taipei City, 883 in Changhua County, 532 in Hsinchu County, 456 in Hsinchu City, 436 in Pingtung County, 388 in Miaoli County, 349 in Yunlin County, 289 in Nantou County, 289 in Chiayi County, 246 in Hualien County, 240 in Keelung City, 229 in Yilan County, 198 in Chiayi City, 99 in Taitung County, 37 in Kinmen County, and 22 in Penghu County.

Regarding the 65 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 34 men and 31 women ranging in age from 50 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 37 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 24 and November 23, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 19,989,680 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,759,950. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 8,226,995 cases. Of the 8,226,995 confirmed cases, 37,402 are imported; 8,189,539 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 14,125 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 14,125 deaths, 14,108 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
