112 more imported cases of Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 detected at border


On July 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 112 new imported cases of the Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 that were detected at the border. The CECC pointed out that, among these individuals, 17 were infected with the BA.4 subvariant, and 95 were infected with BA.5; their dates of entry range from June 9-26. There have been a cumulative total of 238 imported cases of the Omicron subvariants; of the 238 imported cases, 36 are cases of BA.4, and 202 are cases of BA.5.
