On November 3, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 29,977 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 29,977 new cases, 29,922 are domestic and 55 are imported. The CECC announced 81 deaths today.

Regarding the 29,922 new domestic cases, 13,552 are male and 16,351 are female, while the gender of the other 19 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 5,084 were reported in New Taipei City, 4,005 in Taichung City, 3,970 in Kaohsiung City, 3,016 in Taoyuan City, 2,764 in Taipei City, 2,749 in Tainan City, 1,427 in Changhua County, 1,025 in Pingtung County, 717 in Hsinchu County, 716 in Hsinchu City, 697 in Miaoli County, 624 in Yunlin County, 605 in Chiayi County, 519 in Nantou County, 446 in Keelung City, 445 in Yilan County, 374 in Hualien County, 358 in Chiayi City, 194 in Taitung County, 94 in Kinmen County, 89 in Penghu County, and four in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 81 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 43 men and 38 women ranging in age from 40 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 55 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 3 and November 1, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 19,465,395 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,652,557. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 7,810,077 cases. Of the 7,810,077 confirmed cases, 36,533 are imported; 7,773,490 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 13,010 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 13,010 deaths, 12,993 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
