Effective November 14, Taiwan to cancel COVID-19 booster shot (three-shot) requirement for staff at venues where people have contact with unknown persons or cannot maintain social distancing


On November 7, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that, effective November 14, 2022, the COVID-19 booster shot (third dose) or rapid test requirement for staff working at places where "contact with unknown people may occur or social distancing cannot be maintained" will be discontinued. The change applies to workers including personnel maintaining medical and epidemic prevention capacity, workers at a high risk exposure, people maintaining national security and the normal functions of society (i.e. individuals in the first, second, third, and seventh vaccination priority groups), and those working in correctional institutions, funeral homes, and in 24 types of venues/workplace supervised the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Labor, and Ministry of Health and Welfare.
