Individuals who have completed their COVID-19 vaccine series for five months can visit contracted healthcare facilities to get booster shot

In response to the new domestic case and to reduce the risks of community infection and transmission, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on December 10 urged individuals who have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine for five months to get a booster dose of Moderna for better protection. Based on the currently approved practices in other countries and Taiwan's ACIP vaccination recommendations, the booster dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is 50 micrograms (for the current vaccine vial, the volume of a booster shot is 0.25 ml).
