Cumulative total of 432 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 324 patients released from isolation


On May 2, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 375 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on May 1. As of writing, a cumulative total of 63,713 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 62,344. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 432 cases (Cases #430-432 confirmed today). Of 432 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 346 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 31 are navy members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 324 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
