Due to approaching typhoon, local health units and healthcare facilities contracted for COVID-19 vaccinations should ensure their cold storage equipment for vaccines function well; if vaccinations are suspended due to typhoon, members of public who have scheduled appointments can still reschedule

On July 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that as moderate typhoon In-Fa approaches Taiwan, it may postpone vaccine distribution scheduled this Friday (July 23) or Saturday (July 24) based on the announcement of suspension of classes and work or the warning for the typhoon. The CECC further explained that members of the public who have made an appointment on the COVID-19 government-funded vaccination appointment reservation system will be eligible to reschedule if their appointments are canceled due to suspension of work and classes caused by the typhoon. Such people, if affected by the typhoon, are advised to reschedule a vaccination appointment on the system after they receive a text message informing them to make an appointment in the next round of inoculations.
