Cumulative total of 339 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 50 patients released from isolation

On April 2, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that that 1,013 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on April 1. As of writing, a cumulative total of 33,733 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 29,755. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 339 cases (Cases #330-339 confirmed today). Of 339 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 291 are imported and 48 are indigenous. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 5 deaths, and 50 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder remains hospitalized in isolation.
