On March 10, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 82 new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan (65 of them tested positive after landing). The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the 82 new imported cases, they are 44 men and 38 women, aged between under five and 79 years. Of the cases, 25 arrived in Taiwan from Vietnam, six from Thailand, four from the Philippines, three from Singapore, and one each from France, the UK, Cambodia, Switzerland, Japan, Brazil, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the US, and Paraguay; the areas the remaining 34 cases arrived from are being investigated. They all arrived between February 22 and March 9, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 6,522,572 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 6,500,669. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 21,081 cases. Of the 21,081 confirmed cases, 5,552 are imported; 15,475 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 134 cases have been removed as confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 853 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 853 deaths, 839 are from domestic cases and the other 14 are from imported cases.
