CECC confirms 1 more COVID-19 case; woman found to have COVID-19 after returning to Taiwan from Poland


On November 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced one new confirmed imported case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. The new case is a Taiwanese woman in her 20s (Case #569). She returned to Taiwan from Poland on October 25.

The Taiwanese woman showed no symptoms when entering Taiwan. She developed fatigue, coughing, a sore throat, a runny nose, and an abnormal sense of smell and taste between October 30 and November 2. The health authority then arranged for the Taiwanese woman to be tested for COVID-19. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on November 4. The case is currently hospitalized in isolation for treatment.
