On July 10, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 33 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 33 new cases, 31 are domestic and the other 2 are imported. The CECC also announced six deaths today.

The CECC pointed out that of the 31 domestic cases (of whom, 19 tested positive while they were in home isolation or completed their isolation period), 17 are men and the other 14 are women, aged between under 10 to 79 years old. They began to suffer the onset of symptoms between June 22 and July 9, 2021. Regarding those domestic cases, Taipei City and New Taipei City reported the most cases, both at 13, and Taoyuan City had the second highest number, at 4; Keelung City reported 1 case.

Regarding the six deaths announced today, they were two men and four women between 30 and 89 years old.

Regarding the two new imported cases, Case #15299 is a Taiwanese female in her 30s. She arrived in Taiwan from Italy on June 25. She was tested for COVID-19 on July 8 before the end of her quarantine period, and infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 10.

Case #15319 is a Taiwanese man in his 20s. He arrived in Taiwan from Belgium on June 26. He was tested for COVID-19 on July 8 before the end of his quarantine period, and infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 10.

The CECC reported that a total of 1,606,389 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 1,589,769. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 15,218 cases. Of the 15,218 confirmed cases, 1,199 are imported; 13,966 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 2 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 105 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 736 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 736 deaths, 728 are domestic cases and the other 8 are imported.
