On July 25, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 17,127 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 17,127 new cases, 16,921 are domestic and 206 are imported. The CECC announced 53 deaths today.

Regarding the 16,921 new domestic cases, 7,981 are male and 8,931 are female, while the gender of the other nine cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 2,955 were reported in New Taipei City, 2,051 in Taichung City, 1,847 in Taoyuan City, 1,767 in Kaohsiung City, 1,727 in Taipei City, 1,380 in Tainan City, 830 in Changhua County, 479 in Hsinchu County, 478 in Miaoli County, 452 in Pingtung County, 439 in Yunlin County, 361 in Yilan County, 337 in Chiayi County, 336 in Hsinchu City, 324 in Nantou County, 309 in Hualien County, 237 in Keelung City, 182 in Chiayi City, 171 in Taitung County, 125 in Kinmen County, 118 in Penghu County, and 16 in Lienchiang County. .

Regarding the 53 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 29 men and 24 women ranging in age from under five to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 206 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between June 24 and July 24, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 14,570,302 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 10,115,573. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 4,447,707 cases. Of the 4,447,707 confirmed cases, 18,667 are imported; 4,428,986 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 8,649 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 8,649 deaths, 8,634 are from domestic cases and the other 15 are from imported cases.
