CECC confirms 20,306 more COVID-19 cases, including 20,269 domestic cases and 37 imported cases


On November 11, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 20,306 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 20,306 new cases, 20,269 are domestic and 37 are imported. The CECC announced 62 deaths today.

Regarding the 20,269 new domestic cases, 9,144 are male and 11,107 are female, while the gender of the other 18 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 3,225 were reported in New Taipei City, 2,844 in Kaohsiung City, 2,659 in Taichung City, 2,023 in Taoyuan City, 1,988 in Tainan City, 1,683 in Taipei City, 1,131 in Changhua County, 652 in Pingtung County, 555 in Yunlin County, 523 in Hsinchu County, 473 in Miaoli County, 447 in Hsinchu City, 402 in Chiayi County, 378 in Nantou County, 296 in Yilan County, 293 in Chiayi City, 269 in Keelung City, 177 in Hualien County, 135 in Taitung County, 58 in Penghu County, 52 in Kinmen County, and six in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 62 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 36 men and 26 women ranging in age from 40 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 37 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 13 and November 9, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 19,694,238 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,695,013. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 7,996,490 cases. Of the 7,996,490 confirmed cases, 36,845 are imported; 7,959,591 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 13,441 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 13,441 deaths, 13,424 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
