On November 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced six new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Among those six cases (Cases #613-618), four arrived in Taiwan from Indonesia, one arrived from the United States, and one traveled from the Philippines.

Case #613, Case #614, Case #617, and Case #618 are four Indonesian women in their 20s, and they traveled from their home country to Taiwan for work on November 7 and November 8. Those four Indonesian women haven’t experienced any symptoms since arrival. They were all tested for COVID-19 on November 20 and November 21 before completing the quarantine period. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the cases on November 22. 

Case #615 is a Taiwanese male in his 20s. He visited the United States for studies in mid-August. He began to experience muscle pain, a productive cough, a runny nose, and other symptoms on November 6. The Taiwanese man took over-the-counter medicine and didn't seek medical attention. He arrived in Taiwan on November 20 and voluntarily notified airport quarantine officers of his symptoms. After his specimen was collected upon arrival, he stayed at a quarantine facility. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on November 22. 

Case #616 is an over 30-year-old female from the Philippines. She came to Taiwan for work on November 8, and she hasn't developed any symptoms since arrival. The woman was tested for COVID-19 on November 21 before completing the quarantine period. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on November 22. 

The CECC reported that a cumulative total of 107,410 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 105,876. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 617 cases. Of the 617 confirmed cases, 525 are imported; 55 are indigenous; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; and 1 case (Case #530) has been removed (Case #530 is not assigned to any patients). Of the confirmed cases, there have been 7 deaths, and 548 patients have been released from isolation, with the other 62 patients remaining hospitalized in isolation.
