On March 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 126 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 126 new cases, six are domestic and 120 are imported (64 of them tested positive after landing). The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the new domestic cases, they are two men and four women ranging in age from 20 to 79 years old.

Regarding the 120 new imported cases, they are 61 men and 59 women ranging in age from 10 to 79 years. Of the cases, 26 arrived in Taiwan from Myanmar, 14 from Indonesia, 12 from Vietnam, eight from the US, five from Hong Kong, four from the Philippines, three each from Thailand and Czech Republic, and one each from Australia, Austria, Singapore, and Korea, and one each from Dominican Republic, India, France, Poland, Spain, Denmark, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Japan and Brazil; the areas the remaining 26 cases arrived from are being investigated. They all arrived between February 23 and March 18, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 6,711,183 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 6,688,929. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 21,784 cases. Of the 21,784 confirmed cases, 6,230 are imported; 15,500 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 134 cases have been removed as confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 853 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 853 deaths, 839 are from domestic cases and the other 14 are from imported cases.
