Cumulative total of 441 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 407 patients released from isolation


On May 21, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 226 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on May 20. As of writing, a cumulative total of 70,100 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 69,077. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 441 cases (Case #441 confirmed today). Of 441 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 350 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 7 deaths, and 407 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
