Days when rapid testing is required for people under self-health management after 10-day home quarantine/isolation to be changed starting today to strengthen health monitoring measures

On March 17, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that due to the shortened incubation period of Omicron, individuals arriving in Taiwan on or after March 7 (incoming flight's scheduled arrival time) and close contacts of confirmed cases, who originally needed to take an at-home rapid test both on the third and either the sixth or seventh day of self-health management following the end of quarantine/isolation, will be required to take an at-home rapid test on both the second and the fourth day of their self-health management period starting today. Their test results should be reported back via text message to facilitate health authorities' timely health monitoring and implementation of necessary prevention measures.
