On September 10, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 35,830 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 35,830 new cases, 35,594 are domestic and 236 are imported. The CECC announced 30 deaths today.

Regarding the 35,594 new domestic cases, 16,106 are male and 19,478 are female, while the gender of the other 10 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 7,646 were reported in New Taipei City, 4,545 in Taichung City, 4,503 in Taipei City, 3,783 in Taoyuan City, 2,726 in Kaohsiung City, 2,038 in Tainan City, 1,617 in Changhua County, 1,011 in Hsinchu County, 937 in Yilan County, 887 in Pingtung County, 841 in Miaoli County, 822 in Hsinchu City, 779 in Yunlin County, 721 in Keelung City, 666 in Nantou County, 662 in Hualien County 477 in Chiayi County, 352 in Chiayi City, 257 in Taitung County, 179 in Kinmen County, 129 in Penghu County, and 16 in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 30 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 19 men and 11 women ranging in age from 40 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 236 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between August 13 and September 9, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 16,709,482 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,051,306. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 5,650,028 cases. Of the 5,650,028 confirmed cases, 30,392 are imported; 5,619,582 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 10,255 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 10,255 deaths, 10,239 are from domestic cases and the other 16 are from imported cases.
