Cumulative total of 440 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 347 patients released from isolation


On May 7, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 458 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on May 6. As of writing, a cumulative total of 66,046 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 64,754. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 440 cases (Case #440 confirmed today). Of 440 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 349 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 36 are naval personnel aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 347 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
