Starting March 17, Taiwan will allow travel agencies to organize group tours to Palau and receive tour groups from Palau

On March 17, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it would allow travel agencies to organize group tours to Palau and to receive tour groups from Palau starting March 17. Currently, Taiwan and Palau allow entry of tourists from the other country who travel and stay with their tour group (no personal excursions or individual itineraries are allowed). At the initial stage, two flights between Taiwan and Palau will be operated every week, and each flight coming to Taiwan is allowed to carry up to 110 passengers, with a maximum of 220 people per week. The limit on the number of passengers and other related details will be adjusted on a rolling basis based on the effectiveness of the scheme and pandemic developments.

People who wish to travel should arrange their travel itinerary as approved, and the duration of the trip cannot exceed eight days (arrival day and departure day included). Tour groups traveling from Taiwan to Palau must undergo COVID-19 PCR testing at the airport before departure, and only travelers who have a negative test result are allowed to continue their departure procedure. Those who travel to Taiwan from Palau must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test report issued within three days prior to departure.
