On June 26, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 39,646 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 39,646 new cases, 39,586 are domestic and 60 are imported. The CECC announced 134 deaths today.

Regarding the 39,586 new domestic cases, 18,372 are male and 21,205 are female, while the gender of the other nine cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years.

Of these domestic cases, 5,520 were reported in Taichung City, 5,320 in New Taipei City, 5,309 in Kaohsiung City, 3,791 in Taoyuan City, 3,786 in Tainan City, 2,761 in Changhua County, 2,734 in Taipei City, 1,655 in Pingtung County, 1,111 in Yunlin County, 1,008 in Hsinchu County, 906 in Miaoli County, 902 in Nantou County, 837 in Hsinchu City, 786 in Yilan County, 757 in Chiayi County, 587 in Hualien County, 548 in Chiayi City, 484 in Keelung City, 396 in Taitung County, 201 in Penghu County, 166 in Kinmen County, and 21 in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 134 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 70 men and 64 women ranging in age from 30 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 60 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between June 24 and 25, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 13,195,867 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 9,579,884. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 3,613,345 cases. Of the 3,613,345 confirmed cases, 14,287 are imported; 3,599,004 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 6,254 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 6,254 deaths, 6,239 are from domestic cases and the other 15 are from imported cases.
