On November 6, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced two new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. All those cases are imported. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the two new imported cases, they are a Taiwanese female in her 30s and an Indonesian male in his teens. The Taiwanese female arrived from the US on August 17, and the Indonesia man arrived from Indonesia on November 4.

The CECC reported that a total of 4,077,222 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 4,059,292. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,438 cases. Of the 16,438 confirmed cases, 1,794 are imported; 14,590 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. Regarding the domestic case (Case #16547) announced yesterday, the test result was negative after additional testing, and the CECC decided to remove Case #16547 from the list of confirmed cases; a cumulative total of 111 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 847 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 847 deaths, 835 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
