CECC confirms 29,911 more COVID-19 cases, including 29,849 domestic cases and 62 imported cases


On July 13, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 29,911 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 29,911 new cases, 29,849 are domestic and 62 are imported. The CECC announced 49 deaths today.

Regarding the 29,849 new domestic cases, 13,816 are male and 16,010 are female, while the gender of the other 23 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 4,997 were reported in New Taipei City, 3,941 in Taichung City, 3,219 in Taoyuan City, 3,115 in Kaohsiung City, 2,982 in Taipei City, 2,244 in Tainan City, 1,497 in Changhua County, 1,075 in Pingtung County, 785 in Miaoli County, 779 in Yunlin County, 734 in Hsinchu County, 671 in Hsinchu City, 657 in Yilan County, 573 in Chiayi County, 560 in Nantou County, 487 in Hualien County, 427 in Keelung City, 420 in Taitung County, 324 in Chiayi City, 182 in Kinmen County, 145 in Penghu County, and 35 in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 49 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 26 men and 23 women ranging in age from 40 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 62 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between June 27 and July 12, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 14,051,114 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 9,884,782. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 4,162,290 cases. Of the 4,162,290 confirmed cases, 15,970 are imported; 4,146,266 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 7,829 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 7,829 deaths, 7,814 are from domestic cases and the other 15 are from imported cases.
