CECC strengthens Level 2 alert measures for Taoyuan City from today to September 9 in response to imported case of Delta variant to reduce risk of community transmission


On September 3, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in response to an imported case of the Delta variant, COVID-19 control measures for Taoyuan City under the Level 2 COVID-19 alert will be strengthened from today to September 9 to reduce risk of community transmission. Strengthened measures are listed below.

A. Reducing the maximum number of people allowed in gatherings to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors. A disease prevention and control plan is required the number of people in a gathering exceeds the limit.
B. Stores and supermarkets implement crowd control measures.
C. Hospitals and long-term care facilities in Taiwan suspend visitation with certain exceptions; only one person can be allowed to accompany one patient or resident.
