Taiwan CDC is a leading public health agency in Taiwan that plays a key role in protecting all people from the threats of infectious diseases. The English edition of our annual report presents CDC’s achievements of last year and its future goals, and it also intends to give its readers an overview of the center. In order to tackle the threat posed by a HIV/AIDS, Taiwan CDC has formulated diverse strategies, furthermore, Taiwan CDC hosted the I-CHECK campaign in 2012, through mobilizing the social network, to provide free, voluntary and private HIV testing and counseling services that are intended to reduce high-risk behavior and the spread of HIV. As a member of global village, we put much emphasis on international cooperation, implementation of International Health Regulations, and quarantine policies. This report also provides you with domestic disease prevention and control policies including health marketing, national communicable diseases surveillance systems, emergency preparedness & response, important communicable diseases prevention and control, such as tuberculosis, influenza, enteroviruses, and dengue fever. In addition, the implementation of national immunization programs including vaccine injury compensation program, research, development and manufacture are also the main focus of our centers. We believe that with our responsible and distinguished employees, Taiwan will be a healthier place for people on this island and for people abroad.Download:
