Filipino migrant workers test positive for COVID-19 after returning to the Philippines from Taiwan; CECC to continue its investigation

On September 16, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that six individuals tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) after returning to the Philippines from Taiwan. The six cases all are Filipino migrant workers. Of those six migrant workers, five are female and the other one is male, with their ages ranging between 20 and 50 years old. They left Taiwan between August 28 and September 11. Those migrant workers were tested for the disease when entering their home county, and they all tested positive. The CECC will continue to investigate locations those workers had visited in Taiwan and the health of individuals they had come into contact with.
