On July 24, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 13 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 13 new cases, 12 are domestic and the other one is imported. The CECC reported no deaths today.

The CECC pointed out that of the 12 domestic cases (of whom, five tested positive while they were in home isolation or completed their isolation period), six are men and the other six are women, aged between 20 to 79 years old. They began to suffer the onset of symptoms between July 23 and July 24, 2021. Regarding those domestic cases, Taipei City reported the most cases, at 7, and New Taipei City had the second highest number, at 5.

Regarding the new imported case, Case #15673 is a Taiwanese female in her 60s. She returned to Taiwan from Myanmar on July 11. She was tested for COVID-19 on July 23, before the end of her isolation period. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on July 25.

The CECC reported that a total of 1,911,604 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 1,895,377. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 15,571 cases. Of the 15,571 confirmed cases, 1,256 are imported; 14,262 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 2 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 108 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 786 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 786 deaths, 778 are from domestic cases and the other 8 are from imported cases.
