On March 30, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 153 Taiwanese nationals who had been stuck in Wuhan, China arrived in Taiwan on the first special flight in the evening of March 29. None of the evacuees returning from Wuhan were sent to the hospital after undergoing quarantine at the airport. They all have been tested for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and transported to a quarantine site for a 14-day period of group quarantine.

The CECC also reported that 867 additional cases related to COVID-19 were reported on March 29. As of writing, a cumulative total of 30,777 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 27,378. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 306 cases (Cases #299-306 confirmed today). Of 306 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 262 are imported and 44 are indigenous. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 5 deaths, and 39 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder is in a stable condition and remains hospitalized in isolation.

The CECC pointed out that Case #268 visited Jinshan Old Street from 5:20-6:55 pm on February 29 and traveled to Wulai Old Street from 2:30-4:50 pm on March 15. The CECC reminded members of the public who have visited these locations during the specified period of time to pay attention to their health status, seek medical attention immediately and inform the physician of their exposure history if they develop a fever or upper respiratory symptoms, and remain calm.
